ABOUT US

Lancaster Teen Challenge opened its doors in 1996 as Rehrersburg Teen Challenge. We have recently relocated to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania as a referral center and community development liaison. In recognition of our commitment to Central PA and the surrounding region we formally changed our name to Lancaster Teen Challenge in 2008.

Our Christ-centered program provides referrals for residential treatment to adult men and women & adolescent boys and girls with life controlling problems, from all ethnic, socioeconomic and religious backgrounds. We believe that there is hope for recovery for every individual who is bound with life controlling problems, such as an addiction to drugs or alcohol, by establishing a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe there is hope even when all other methods have failed.

We are here to help! Whether you are a concerned family member, pastor, lay-person, or a prospective client you will find information here that will help you or someone you know find freedom from life controlling problems. Jesus Christ can help!  Here at Lancaster Teen Challenge we care for those struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups.

*Lancaster Teen Challenge is also available to partner with you by way of church ministry, Stay Sharp school presentations, outreach events, banquet events & business breakfasts, prison ministry, storefront activities and carwashes-just to name a few!

Please feel free to contact:

Rev. Joel Jakubowski at joel@lancastertc.com or 717-673-4219 with any/all questions you may have.

RESIDENTIAL CARE:

The most important part about the Teen Challenge program is the Christ-centered residential care for men who are addicted to drugs and alcohol or are experiencing other life-controlling problems. Teen Challenge provides food, clothing, a warm bed, academic materials, etc. which are necessary to assure the student receives the spiritual, emotional, vocational and academic training required to help him overcome problems, which led to his addiction. An ideal place for recovery, a Teen Challenge Induction Center is the Phase I, four months of a 14 month residential program the Phase II consists of 10 month of stay at the Teen Challenge Training Center; Rehrersburg, PA.

PROOF OF SUCCESS...

In 1958, David Wilkerson, author of The Cross and the Switchblade, answered the call to go into the streets of New York City to reach hurting youth. Since then, a ministry that started with one man has given hope to thousands of America’s hurting youth.

86% of the youth who have graduated from the Teen Challenge Program were still drug free seven years later. – 1975 National Opinion Research Center of Chicago survey, funded by the Department of Health, Education and Welfare. other studies available at: http://teenchallengeusa.com/resources/#studies
